Why We Created INSTA+CONNECT
What began as a simple experiment turned into something much more. We began this Instagram challenge because we were craving connection — the kind that doesn’t rely on trends or algorithms, but real personal connection. We kept asking ourselves how to connect with our ideal clients and other women in business. So, we started the challenge to see if others' felt the same way and, wow, did they ever.
Women took immediate action by connecting with each other, sharing one another, and simply showing up! The energy was real- encouraging, creative, and really supportive.
By the end, we knew it couldn’t stop there.
The Insta+Connect Club is the next evolution, a gentle space for women who want to keep that spark alive through practical business tools, accountability, and consistent momentum.
Because showing up for your business doesn’t have to feel lonely or draining, it can feel inspired, supported, and even fun.

Along the way, a friendship grew through honest conversations about business, marketing, and the frustrations we feel as small business owners. From those chats, the Insta+Connect Club was born — a reminder that the best things come from connection, not likes or follows.
We know the power of personal connection — it’s how we met! Steph first found Desha through a She DESIGNS summit, then joined her Mexico retreat, branded the She DESIGNS Podcast, and is now coming to Desha’s Vermont retreat!

About Desha
Desha is a LifeSTYLE / Small Biz Coach and Retreat Leader. She’s the author of two books, Create the Style you Crave and Your Creative Work Space. Desha invented a career that pays her to travel to beautiful places by leading lux retreats for female small biz owners. She also partners with boutique hotels + airbnb’s to promote their brand in exchange for perks.
Her newest title is hospitality entrepreneur. In 2021, she added her first Sweet Spot Style Property to her umbrella brand, a 1920’s bungalow in Vermont. In 2024, she added two more rentals to her real estate portfolio, where she now hosts 1-1 retreats for women in business. Desha lives in Vermont with her husband, teen daughter, and kitty. She travels to MX when the weather turns cold and returns to VT for her favorite season, spring.
About STEPH
Steph is a brand identity and web designer, and the founder of Studio Crone. She helps women-owned businesses evolve their presence through thoughtful design, intuitive Squarespace websites, and brand photography direction. With degrees in both design and photography, Steph brings a keen eye for storytelling and detail into every project.
She lives in Sacramento, California, with her husband, Alex, and three cats, and loves weekend rides down the delta in their vintage convertible.
Steph is a 4/6 Splenic Projector and triple Pisces, which means she leads with intuition, thrives on depth, and sees beauty in the layers others might overlook. She finds inspiration in her country roots, travel, and creative practices.
